The latest film by the stainless filmmaker Clint Eastwood is now available on Max and has arrived full of great expectations from the filmmaker's fans and critics. We're talking about a 94-year-old man who continues to work and give us great works, but who doesn't seem to have been honored by Warner, the director's long-time partner, who not only gave the film a tiny window in US theaters, but in the rest of the world released the film directly to the streaming catalog, which doesn't make sense given the quality of the film, and also because of the partnership and prestige Clint has acquired with the production company.

Here we have a feature film that explores the drama of a US court, in a very peculiar way and perspective, since the focus of the narrative is a juror, which is not very common to see in works of this genre, and the filmmaker brings out interesting dilemmas in the plot, and very insightful reflections, because following the narrative from the point of view of the jurors, of course one in particular that bears the name of the film, since he is part of the events of the crime that is being tried.

Wrong and right disappear in this story that closes what may be the director's last work (I hope not) with a hint of ambiguity that increases and intensifies the lack of answers to the questions that are thrown on the table. The film doesn't dispense with the truth and doesn't place situations of what happened and various points of view. We know that the crime either didn't happen, had a victim and brilliantly the script and direction point us in a direction, but that the truth revealed doesn't benefit anyone, that is, the dilemmas proposed here also insert us into the characters' lives, we feel their dramas, we are spectators in that universe, but would it be ethical to take a position, or judge a certain character?

But none of this would be brilliant if it weren't for the remarkable presence of the cast and, of course, the wisdom and intelligence of an experienced filmmaker, who together with his team has produced a film of the highest quality, which, due to factors between the distributor and the producer, hasn't had the visibility it deserves or the recognition it deserves. A brilliant film by an equally brilliant filmmaker who we hope will be healthy enough to work even harder - his mark on the industry has already been made, now we're hoping for more content if God allows it.
